2012 CALENDAR
February 8 - Artist applications will be accepted on the Zapp website: www.ZAPPlication.org beginning February 8, 2012.
June 4 - Artist application deadline is June 4, 2012.
July 16 - Notification to Artists of Status - Invited, Not Invited or Wait Listed. Artists will be notified by email through the ZAPP system before midnight on July 16, 2012.
August 3 - The deadline is August 3, 2012 for receipt of booth fees, temporary vendor's occupational license fee (if applicable), and Release Statement. Non-Louisiana artists are required by the City of Covington to pay for a temporary vendor's Occupational License at the nominal cost of $10. Louisiana artists are exempt from this provision by state law. A Release Statement is required to be signed by the Artist [and Collaborating Artist] and returned to the festival. An artist will not be allowed to set up unless the signed Release Statement has been returned. A late fee of $25 will be required for booth fees postmarked after August 3, 2012. Anyone who has not paid their booth fee by August 17, 2012 will forfeit their booth space in the festival.
September 1 - Cancellation deadline is September 1, 2012. All cancellations must be submitted to the festival in writing. No refunds will be made for cancellations requested after September 1, 2012, for any reason. A $50 administrative fee will be charged for cancellations requested on or before September 1, 2012, and refunds will be made within 30 days of receipt of written cancellation notice.
Friday, November 9
3 p.m. - 6 p.m. - Artist Registration in Festival Headquarters located inside St. Tammany Homestead Building, on the corner of N. Columbia and Rutland Streets. Artists must register before beginning set-up. A photo ID must be presented at check-in by Artists [and Collaborating Artists].
4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. - Set-up (after artist has registered).Tents only on Friday-no inventory please.
6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. - Artists Welcome Reception, Covington Trailhead, New Hampshire & E. Lockwood Streets.
Saturday, November 10
6 a.m. - 8 a.m. -Artist registration continues in Festival Headquarters. A photo ID must be presented upon check-in.
6 a.m. - 8 a.m. -Set-up continues. All vehicles must be out of the exhibit area by 8 a.m. on Saturday and booths must be completely set-up and staffed by 9 a.m. on Saturday when judging begins.
8 a.m. - Three Rivers Run, 1 Mile & 8:30 a.m. 5K Walk/Run. Covington Trailhead, New Hampshire & E. Lockwood Streets. Race sign-up starts at 7 a.m.
9 a.m. - Judging of festival artists begins promptly at 9 a.m. and continues throughout the day on Saturday.
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. - Festival open to Public
Sunday, November 11
8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. - Artists Awards Ceremony will take place on Sunday morning at the Covington Trailhead, New Hampshire & E. Lockwood Streets, Covington. Cash awards and ribbons will be presented to winning artists.
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. - Festival open to Public
3:15 p.m. - Student Art Awards presented on Children's Performing Stage
5 p.m. - 7 p.m. - Dismantling.Absolutely NO PACKING before 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Festival Hospitality:
Hospitality will be available to exhibiting artists on Saturday and Sunday during festival hours. Complimentary refreshments will include coffee, bottled water and light snacks.
